A voice controlled cooking assistant that runs in your browser.
SousChef uses Flask and AngularJS for data services, templating, and behaviour. Text to Speech is done by the Chrome Speech API. Chrome's Speech to text API's are used with Wit.ai to for voice commands. Recipes are fetched using the Yummly API and the steps are scraped manually with Beautiful Soup.
SousChef was developed by Ryan Marks, Kestin Goforth, and Arya Solhi at PennApps.
